Baby pictures from 6-7 months

Playing outside when the weather started to heat up:

I love to snuggle with my sweet little man!

Calum loved to chew on the tops to his bottles. At this point, they were more grand to him than any of his toys!

Happy smiles!

This outfit had a fuzzy tummy, bunny ears, and a tail!

More outdoor play! Warm enough to show some skin, but we used the umbrella to shield Calum from the sun. He thought it was just a fun play toy.

I love this picture! Such a cutie pie!

My big boy was ready for church!

Yes, that is a sock on his ear. He had one on the other too, but it fell off. He can thank his Daddy for this picture!

Calum and his Mawmaw:

Love him!

It is exhausting being so cute and playing so hard!

Calum loves his piano. It was a favorite at this age.

Calum with his Great-PawPaw

Calum and Great-Grandmama:

He will pretty much try to eat anything!

Snug as a bug in a rug (or a blanket as the case may be)!

Calum enjoyed a visit with Daddy's bestest friend, "Boots", and thoroughly enjoyed wearing his hat.

6 months old!

Calum got his first two teeth (bottom middle) right at six months. At his six month checkup, Calum weighed 17lbs, 3oz, and was 27 inches long. He had shots, but took them like a champ- tears for only seconds!

Calum loves Sugar!

Adorable!

Two, four, and six months!

Valentine's Day

Damon left this for me to find while I was getting ready on Valentine's morning. That dog is huge! In the envelope is a pre-paid photo session. We haven't used it yet, but need to soon!

Calum and I had a go at an art project. Such little hands!

Baby pictures from 5-6 months

My sweet, sleepy boy!

This was the first time he slept any way but on his back. It made me very nervous. Within days, his side-sleeping became tummy-sleeping and I soon discovered he slept much more soundly that way.

Yummy rice cereal!

Daddy took this picture.

I love story time with my cuddle bug!

We put Calum to bed while he is still awake- always have- but occasionally this happens! I cherish those times when I can hold my snuggly, sleeping, baby boy!

Once Calum figured out he could get his feet to his mouth, this was a common sight.

I love this picture! He is just quietly contemplating his penguin feet!

First baby food!

This was Calum's first night to sleep in his room! I thought I wouldn't make it through the night. He was such a big boy, and in true Calum style, he was calm and laid-back. I was the nutcase!

This picture makes me smile. He didn't master a sippy cup for quite a while, but he loved to chew on them, even while in his favorite jumper.

Precious smile!

Daycare Change

In February, we decided to change Calum’s daycare. He went to Christ Harbor from December through early February. We were having small issues with them and then we had a couple of really unnerving days in a row. We decided to pull him out and put him elsewhere (I’m very calm about it now- over 6 months later- but I very vividly remember the anger I had at the time). We were lucky enough to get a spot at First Wesleyan Academy and we have been very pleased with this change. After months with FWA, we are now sure we made the best decision for us by changing his daycare. FWA is a vast improvement. I am so glad I listened to my gut on this one!

5 months old!

This is what I can remember:
Calum was working on rolling over from his back to tummy. He looked like a fish out of water at times, arching his back and pushing off with his legs, rocking from side to side. Too cute! He was babbling and loved to stand, with your support under his arms. He drooled and chewed on everything and enjoyed significant amounts of time in his jumpers and such (I didn’t realize how soon he would outgrow his desire to be in those and how he would never be easy to contain or occupy at length again!). He learned to blow bubbles with his mouth and proceeded to do so all the time!

Here he is at one, three, and five months old!

OMG! Behind is such a Massive Understatement!

I am the worst blogger! My child just turned one year old and I have not posted since he was four months. Terrible!!! This is supposed to happen with your second child, not your first! I am going to try to do some recap posts to get us to present day. We’ll see how that goes. I am sad because I know I can’t remember all the little things he did at each monthly benchmark. I guess I will just have to settle for pictures and a few memories.

Here goes…
