9 months old!

A mere week after Calum began crawling, he started pulling up! At his 9 month check-up, Calum weighed 20 lbs. 5 oz. and was 29.5 inches long.

My 27th Birthday

Damon surprised me with a yummy cookie cake! (Happy Birthday- We love you- from: Calum and Daddy)

Earlier that day, my Mama surprised me with an Edgar's strawberry cake! We had a lot of yummy, sugar-filled desserts to consume at my house!

My Mama also brought me flowers and balloons. They were so pretty!

We ate at Mr. G's later. Ignore how horrible I look. Regardless of my appearance, I want to have pictures with my baby boy!

Baby pictures from 8-9 months

Calum was dedicated at church on Mother's Day!

He was ready for bed! His favorite bedtime story is "Goodnight Moon"

Trying to share his paci:

This is how Calum reads magazines!

My snuggle bug:

Damon was looking for the title to my Jeep. Calum was too funny, pulling papers out of the box, like Damon. I love this picture because it really looks like he is helping search.

First ride in his big boy carseat!

Spending a day at Uncle Jason's and Aunt Bethanie's, here is Calum with his Mawmaw and cousin, Tanner:

Don't ask me why we were blowing up our inflatable pool inside the house, but here is Calum, checking it out:

He is chewing up his first puff snack, but I like this picture because he also looks like he is contemplating something serious.

Going for a walk with Mama and Daddy:

The first pool day of summer!

Calum loved the water. He always has!

Daddy got Calum again! Everyone needs sock puppets and a burp cloth mohawk!

Getting so big! Calum loves this small, wooden, chair. Perfect fit!

Sleepy baby!

TV time! Calum actually rarely pays attention to the TV, but he loves the remote control!

Walking his puppy. He's getting those legs ready for walking one day.

Helping Mama clean out her closet:

Daddy made the wooden chair a little less dangerous, with pillows and blankets. They worked well, since Calum often would bail out, head first!

8 months old!

What I remember:
Calum spent a lot of time in his “new” walker. Our friend, Emily, gave her boys’ walker to us and Calum found a new best friend. I remember him smiling from ear to ear while in it. He had found a new form of mobility that didn’t require mommy or daddy. At first it was a two-legged push, but eventually he learned to alternate feet. Right at 8 months Calum first began to crawl- very slow and calculated at this point.

Baby pictures from 7-8 months

Standing up by the couch:

Burp cloth on his head:

Calum and I took a nap after church one day. Daddy took our picture.

My little fellow was not feeling well this day. Mama stayed home and cuddled with him.

Calum loves his walker!!! Thank you, Emily, for the hand-me-down!!

Giggly boy!

Toes in the water:

Too cute to nap!

This was his first time sitting in the grocery cart, and not in his carseat, when we went to the store. He loved it!

My sweet guy!

7 months old!

Calum was so difficult to photograph this day (little did I know this was the new norm for picture-taking). I took many pictures, but had very few that weren’t blurry.

He is so active now!

What I can remember:
Calum was just learning to scoot his body during tummy-time. For the longest time, he just moved backward, like an inchworm in reverse!

Easter!

Damon and I helped with EasterFest at our church. Calum came with us and we all had a great time!

Calum "held" a duckling at the petting zoo.

He was not afraid of the Easter Bunny, but at this point Calum was so tired that smiling was just not a possibility.

Calum's first Easter at church! He enjoyed people-watching and listening to the music, but eventually fell asleep on Daddy.

I tried an idea I saw on Facebook for using shaving cream and food coloring to dye eggs. It worked pretty well. The eggs had a marble look to them. Calum seemed to enjoy checking them out.

Here is Calum's Easter basket. He got a few new toys, a swimsuit, hat, and sunglasses (He never liked the sunglasses).

I found, over time, that the toys I bought for his Easter basket were some of his all time favorites. He loved the green and blue bunnies, the Mickey rattle, the soft books, and the Ninja Turtles cell phone (all from the bargain bin at Target). He played with them all for months!

Here is our family Easter photo. Skip Baumhower, a well-known photographer in town, goes to our church, and every Easter he does free family photos. I love this picture! We have a canvas of it hanging in our living room.
